Reservation Declaration: Agreement to Terms and Conditions (Please read)

By making a reservation at Wild Tree Lodge, you acknowledge and agree that you have read, understood, and accepted our Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions govern your stay at the lodge, and it is essential to review them before completing your reservation.

Upon making a reservation, you automatically agree to comply with all the rules, policies, and guidelines outlined in our Terms and Conditions. These terms include, but are not limited to, payment and cancellation policies, check-in and check-out times, guest conduct, privacy policy, and limitation of liability.

We encourage you to carefully read through our Terms and Conditions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience during your stay. Should you have any questions or require clarifications, our friendly staff is available to assist you.

Payments and confirmation of booking:

Rates are quoted in South African Rands and are inclusive of VAT. Rates are inclusive of breakfast, with the exception of the Umbrella Thorn, the self-catering garden flat. Rates are subject to confirmation and availability and may change without prior notice. However, once the accommodation has been paid for in full, the rate will not change. Reservations are subject to our terms and conditions, signed on behalf of you and your party on check-in. Right of admission is reserved.

Deposits:

To secure your reservation, a 50% deposit is required, and the full balance of payment is due 7 days prior to arrival. Bookings made less than 7 days prior to arrival must be paid for in full upon reservation. 

Cancellations:

  • If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total
  • If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit
  • If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit
  • If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit

Check-in and check-out times:

Check-in: 14h00 – 20h00 – Late arrivals can be accommodated by prior arrangements.
Check-out: 10h00

If you arrive early or wish to leave later than the check-out time, we are more than happy to store your luggage, and you are welcome to work or relax in our common areas at your leisure.

Limitation of liability:

While we take the very best care to keep you safe and comfortable during your stay at Wild Tree Lodge, by signing these terms and conditions, you agree to the following on your behalf and on behalf of all the members of your party:

  • Neither the establishment, its owners, employees, nor agents shall be held responsible for any injury or death of any person upon these premises, and/or
  • The loss or destruction of or damage to any property upon the premises, whether arising from fire, theft, or any cause whatsoever, whether accidental, negligent, or the wrongful act of any person in the employment of Wild Tree Lodge.

Smoking policy:

Smoking is not permitted in any of the indoor areas of the lodge. There are demarcated smoking areas on balconies and around the swimming pool.

Children policy:

Children are welcome at Wild Tree Lodge and should be supervised at all times.

Swimming Pool:

For safety reasons, the swimming pool is closed from 20h00 to 06h00 and is not accessible during these hours. Children must be supervised in and around the pool at all times. Towels for the swimming pool are available at reception. Please do not use the towels from your bathroom at the pool.

Meals:

  • Breakfast is served in the Keurboom Bistro daily from 07h00 – 09h00 (Weekdays) & 07h00 – 10h00 (Sat & Sun)
  • Light Lunch is offered on request.
  • Dinner: The dinner menu will be displayed in the Keurboom Bistro at breakfast and must be booked by 11h00 for that evening.
  • Special dietary and meal requests can be accommodated by prior arrangements.

Pets:

We cannot accommodate ANY pets at Wild Tree Lodge whatsoever, aside from service animals.

Quiet time:

Quiet time is from 22h00 to 06h00, and we request the comfort of all guests at the lodge be considered during this time. We reserve the right to ask you to lower noise levels and vacate common areas during these hours.

Payments to third parties:

We do not pay third parties for any services on your behalf. If monies are deposited into our account incorrectly, we do not refund until cleared with our bank and will only refund directly into the original payer’s account, less any banking and transaction fees.

Visitors:

To ensure the enjoyment and safety of all guests, we only permit visitors to the lodge by prior arrangement. Visitors are asked to leave by 22h00 when we lock up for the night and observe quiet time. Only registered guests are permitted to spend the night in the rooms. Guests must behave in a manner conducive to the safety, peace, and comfort of other guests. The manager reserves the right to evict anyone misbehaving with immediate effect.

Additional Reminders:

  • Heaters, fans, televisions, and lights should be switched off if the room is not occupied.
  • Arrival time: Any time after 2 pm and before 8 pm.
  • Departure time: Before 10 am.
  • Please remember to hand in keys on departure. Failure to do so will result in a replacement cost penalty.
  • Use of electrical appliances other than those supplied in the room is subject to permission being obtained from the manager.
  • Please note that cleaning and gardening staff will not accept instructions from guests. Please contact the manager on duty for assistance.
  • The owner/management is not liable for any damages, theft, or injury.
  • Parking for vehicles is provided and is at your own risk.
  • Please make sure that gates are closed after entering or leaving the premises.
