Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your booking and form the legal agreement between you and Wild Tree Lodge.

1.1 Reservation Declaration

By making a reservation, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and the House Rules. These terms apply to you and all members of your party.

1.2 Rates & Payments

• Rates are quoted in South African Rands (ZAR) and include VAT.
• Rates are subject to change until full payment is received.
• Once full payment has been made, the rate is guaranteed.
• Right of admission is reserved.

1.3 Deposits & Balance Payment

To secure your booking:
• A 50% deposit is required.
• The balance is due 7 days before arrival.
• Bookings made within 7 days of arrival must be paid in full upon reservation.

• Bookings made for a single night’s accommodation must be paid in full upon reservation.

 

1.4 Cancellation Policy

• 0–7 days before arrival: 100% of total booking forfeited
• 8–14 days before arrival: 100% of deposit forfeited
• 15–21 days before arrival: 50% of deposit forfeited
• 22–30 days before arrival: 25% of deposit forfeited

1.5 Check-In & Check-Out

Self Check-In Only
• Check-in: from 14:00 (instructions sent 1 day before arrival)
• Check-out: 10:00 strictly

Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged subject to availability and only if the unit is not occupied the night before/after.

1.6 Limitation of Liability

By staying at Wild Tree Lodge, you agree that the owners, management, and staff are not liable for:
• injury, loss, or death on the premises;
• loss or damage to property (from fire, theft, weather, or any cause whatsoever).

Guests enter and stay at their own risk.

1.7 Payments to Third Parties

Wild Tree Lodge does not make payments to third parties on behalf of guests.
Incorrect deposits will be refunded only once cleared with our bank and returned to the original payer, less banking charges.

1.8 Breakages & Damage

Guests are liable for any loss, breakage, or damage to lodge property during their stay.
Charges may apply.

1.9 Privacy & CCTV

External areas of the property are monitored by CCTV for safety and security.
No cameras are placed inside any guest accommodation.

  1. HOUSE RULES

These rules ensure safety, comfort, and a pleasant experience for all guests.

2.1 Maximum Occupancy

Each accommodation option has a maximum occupancy limit.
No additional guests (including children) may stay without prior approval.
Exceeding occupancy will result in immediate eviction without refund.

2.2 Strict No-Party Policy

Wild Tree Lodge maintains a zero-tolerance policy on parties, gatherings, and events.
This includes:
• parties of any kind
• celebrations
• loud gatherings
• bachelor/bachelorette events
• after-parties

Any breach will result in immediate eviction without refund, and charges will apply.

2.3 Visitors

  • Visitors are permitted by prior arrangement only.
    • All visitors must leave by 22:00.
    • Only registered guests may stay overnight.
    • Guests are responsible for their visitors’ behaviour.

2.4 Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 06:00.
Management may request guests to reduce noise or move indoors during these hours.

2.5 Children

Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times, especially near:
• the swimming pool
• the garden
• the parking area
• stairs and walkways

2.6 Swimming Pool

  • The pool is covered with a safety net on arrival.
    • If removed, please store it carefully in the designated area.
    • Children must be supervised at all times.
    • Pool towels are provided on the patio (do not use bathroom towels).

2.7 Smoking Policy

Smoking is prohibited in all indoor spaces.
Smoking is permitted outside,  Please be considerate of your neighbors and use the ashtrays provided.

2.8 Pets

No pets allowed, except approved service animals.

2.9 Use of Appliances & Power Consumption

The lodge operates on solar and battery backup.

• High-consumption devices such as:
– portable heaters
– hot plates
– kettles
– air fryers
– hair dryers above 2000W
may not be plugged in, as they overload the system.
• Only appliances supplied by the lodge may be used.
• Please switch off lights, heaters, fans, air conditioners, and TVs when not in use.

2.10 Borehole Water

Our water is filtered and treated for human consumption.

2.11 Cleaning & Waste

Units can be serviced on request at an additional cost.
Please dispose of waste in the bins provided and avoid leaving food uncovered.

2.12 Staff Interaction

Guests may not give instructions or tasks directly to staff.
Please contact the manager/proprietor for assistance.

2.13 Parking

Parking is available on-site and is at the guest’s own risk.
Please ensure gates are closed when entering or exiting.

2.14 Keys

Keys must be deposited into the post box on the gate post upon departure.
Lost or unreturned keys will incur a replacement fee.

2.15 Fire Safety

Open flames, candles, fireworks, firepits, and unauthorised gas appliances are strictly prohibited.
Use gas braais supplied by the lodge responsibly.

2.16 Wildlife & Insects

Due to our natural garden environment, guests may occasionally encounter insects, geckos, birds, or other wildlife.
No refunds or compensation will be issued for natural wildlife activity.

3. ADDITIONAL POLICIES

3.1 Prohibited Activities

The following are not permitted on the property:
• parties and events
• loud music
• illegal substances
• firearms or weapons
• commercial photography/filming without permission
• any behaviour that disturbs other guests

3.2 Right of Admission

Wild Tree Lodge reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a stay without refund in the event of:
• disruptive behaviour
• violation of house rules
• safety concerns
• damage to property

Should you be asked to leave, you will be escorted off the property by our contracted security company
